Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Blurb:
They say there is a thin line between love and hate.
This is what happens when that line is crossed.

College freshman Olivia Montgomery is thrilled at the chance to start over, escape the rumors that plagued her in high school. And she can finally put her juvenile crush, Zachary Pearson, where he belongs—in her past. Then her unrequited love strolls into her French class, shattering Olivia’s newfound peace, and the feelings she’d thought buried for good come rushing back. Now she can’t shake her unwanted attraction to the one guy who can twist her stomach into knots with just a smile…but has never given her the time of day.
Zach’s good looks may have always gotten him his pick of girls, but it’s the star quarterback’s skill on the football field that gives him his pick of the Big Ten colleges. To escape the crushing demands of his win-at-all-costs father, Zach opts for a private university in upstate New York where…his present and past collide. And the one girl he’s always wanted but can’t have—and a class trip to Paris—turn out to be the ultimate game changer that has him breaking every one of his rules.

EXCERPT:
Seconds after Rebecca disappears around the corner, I feel a presence behind me.
Like right behind me. I turn, expecting to see Scott, who I’m sure is eager to offer an explanation to what I’d just witnessed. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The guy hovering behind me is none other than Zach, his expression just as grim as when I saw him minutes ago. Scratch that, grimmer.
I actually take a step back, I’m so shocked to see him this close, and bump into the wall behind me. Zach takes a step closer and braces his forearm, exactly the way Scott had done, on the wall at the side of my head. He bends his head so his mouth is near my ear. I drag in a breath of air and with it the subtlety of his cologne and warm male skin. Being this close to him after so many weeks is like a kick of excelsior.
“Who’s the guy?” he asks, his voice a low rumble in my ear. It takes everything in me not to shiver as the sound vibrates down my spine.
“A friend.”
His mouth kicks up at the corner into a smirk.
“Right.”
His tone is so obviously disbelieving, now it requires Herculean self-control not to smack him even though I miss him so much my heart hurts.
“Anyway,” he continues, his eyes narrowing and growing hard as flint as he stares down at me. “Here’s the thing. If you’re trying to make me jealous, you’re wasting your time. I wouldn’t want you to put yourself out too much tonight, so remember that and go easy on the guy, ‘kay?”
Raising his head, he flashes me a tight, icy smile and pushes off the wall as he continues to hold my gaze. In his final gesture of arrogance, he runs the back of his index finger gently down my cheek while his jaw ticks. “Have a nice evening, Liv.” With that, he turns and saunters back down the hall.

Book Blitz: Random On tour

Publication date: August 15th 2017
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance

Blurb:
Now, you know my mama’s a gambler (sweeper, whatever….), so I guess I got to blame her for a little of this.

When the band got invited to do a big gig here in Las Vegas, I was so excited. Really excited. And when we got here, I was dazzled.
A little too dazzled. I blame the lights and the money and does Vegas pump a scent through the entire town that makes you think you’re a winner, or what?
Because I gambled all our money away. And by “our,” I mean the band’s money. All of it. Every dang cent.
Only no one knows. They’d kill me. So I have to find a way to make all that money back.
I have an idea. I got a good body and a smart mind.
(Quit laughing).
I can do this. I can fix this.
Really.
It’s just gonna get a little weird for a while.
Random on Tour: Las Vegas is the 9th book in Julia Kent’s New York Times bestselling Random series. When the band performs in Vegas, anything goes – including Darla’s dignity and all of the band’s savings. When a savior appears, though, there’s a trade-off for being rescued. A big one. How far is Darla willing to go?
Oh, please. It’s Darla. Like you have to even wonder…
This book is told from the point of view of Darla, Trevor and Joe.
EXCERPT:
“You’re walking a chicken on a leash, Darla.”
“Yes.”
“More than one chicken.”
“Yes.”
“A human dressed up as a chicken,” he clarified, as if I didn’t know that.
“Mmm hmm.” When you’re caught, don’t incriminate yourself. Stick to noncommittal consonants.
“On the Strip in Las Vegas.”
“Yes.”
“For… fun?”
“No.” The word came out all round and heavy in my mouth, protest in a single syllable. I looked at him like he was crazy. “I’m being paid.”

Author Bio:

Book Blitz: The Boy I Hate

Publication Date: 12th August 2017
Genre(s): New Adult & Romance

Blurb:

Samantha Smiles and Renee Montgomery have been best friends for over a decade. They've shared laughs, secrets, and a mutual hatred for one person: Tristan Montgomery, Renee's older brother. He was the guy every girl wanted, and every guy wanted to be, and it wasn't uncommon they'd befriend his little sister just to get close to him. Which was exactly how Samantha became Renee's saving grace. She was the only girl Renee could trust not to fall in love with her older brother.

Until the one night Samantha spent with him alone, leaving her questioning everything she'd ever known about the blond headed heart-throb.

Years later, Renee asks Samantha to be her maid of honor. With no other option, Samantha is forced to drive cross-country with the focus of their teenage ire.

He was her first kiss.

Her only secret.

Can Samantha survive the trip cross-country with the reckless Tristan Montgomery? The guy who did what he wanted, whenever he wanted, without worry for tomorrow? Or will she discover a different side of him. One that's sweet, funny, and maybe a little bit vulnerable. And fall completely and helplessly in love for the first time in her adult life with the one man who could cause her to lose her best friend forever?

Excerpt:
She looked down to the parking lot, seeing his Mustang still parked below, and knew she was about to lose it. She headed for her own room, placed the breakfast on the nearby table, then rid of every last drop of patience, began pounding on Tristan’s door.
“Wake up you lazy bastard! Wake up, or I swear to God I’ll beat this door down with my fists.”
A large boom sounded from inside the room, and Samantha smiled with satisfaction as she continued to pound. “That’s right,” she whispered. “Get up you lazy ass—”
But before she could finish her sentence, the door was yanked out from under her. She stumbled forward, barely able to catch her footing, and slammed face first into warm, solid, skin. She froze, because the glimpse she caught on the way down wasn’t one she ever thought she’d see. It was a very large, very bare, and very “Good morning” version of Tristan Montgomery.
“Please tell me you’re not naked,” she whispered, but it was mostly to herself, because she didn’t really need him to answer. She squeezed her eyes shut, took one step backward, and turned around. They both stood there, quiet and still, and she tried to recover her heart. The sight of Tristan in nothing more than his birthday suit left her feeling dizzy. She’d seen many naked men in her days, though until now, the only one she’d seen in person was Steven. Especially this close up.
“Well?” he finally asked, when she remained silent.
Well? Well… Tristan was much…larger than Steven. Much larger in every way imaginable.
She cleared her throat, knowing her voice would’ve cracked otherwise. “It’s ten in the morning,” she answered with more confidence than she felt.
“And?” But his voice was thick and husky, and she could swear he was having as difficult a time recovering as she was.
“It’s time to go.”
“Is it?”
“Yes,” she said, hating how the tone of his voice sent a shiver down her spine. “And you should really put some clothes on. The people of Utah don’t want to see…that.”
He chuckled, but shifted slightly behind her. “Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but a lot of people want to see that.”
She cringed, because she knew it was true. Like in high school, she knew women lined up to catch the barest glimpse of Tristan.
He moved quietly behind her, his steps so soft you’d never know they came from a man of his size. “You can turn around now.”
She raked her teeth over her bottom lip, taking the very corner and chewing it before turning to face him. He still had no shirt on, his feet were bare, but he wore a pair of old gray sweats resting so low on his hips you could tell he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
“Aren’t you freezing?” she asked, feeling a shiver run through her own body.
“No,” he said, leaning against the doorway and crossing his feet at the ankles. A tiny grin teased at the corner of his mouth, and she knew he was having too much fun at her expense.
She turned toward the Mustang, not attempting to hide her irritation. “I brought you breakfast,” she said quickly.
“That’s nice of you.”
“It’s not nice. Just my way of getting your lazy ass out of bed.”
He threw his head back with laughter. “Are you always this pleasant in the morning?”
Pressing her lips together, she wasn’t about to let him to pull her into another argument. “We need to go,” she said, turning on her heels and opening the door to her room.
She walked inside, hoping the action would give him the hint to do the same. “I’ll have your breakfast waiting for you in the car.” But before she closed the door, she could swear she caught him smiling.
“My God.” she whispered, resting her forehead against the wall, taking in all the air she’d forgotten to take over the last two minutes. “Three more days. Just three more days of Tristan Montgomery.” She repeated the last words over and over, gathered up the rest of her belongings, and headed for the car.

Excerpts:
Danny:

Turning carefully as the sunlight filtered through my bedroom window, I propped up on my elbow and reached out to brush a wayward blond hair behind her ear. My heart ached deep in my chest that she'd grow up without her momma. My sister's little girl was now mine, and she'd be raised as my own as best I could. Being a single father for the last few years had forced me to grow the fuck up in certain areas, at least all areas other than women. It's not like I could imagine a woman coming into my life and helping me raise Lyndsay.
"That tickles!" Her little voice surprised me. Big blue eyes looked up at me with an innocence in them that I knew I'd do anything to protect.

"What tickles?" I lifted my eyebrow and reached over to tickle the side of her neck. "This?" Her giggles filled up the air as I reached for her.

"No, Daddy! No!" She swatted at me rolled off the bed, hitting the floor.

"Hey . You okay?" I moved quickly, ready to scoop her up.

She smiled up at me from the floor. "Yes!" Bounding up, she tickled my neck and ran off toward the living room, her blond curls flying behind her.

"You tricker!" I yelled playfully from the bedroom and got up. I ran my fingers through my hair and walked down the hallway to the kitchen. It was hard to believe Jannie had been gone for five years. Seemed like yesterday she was giving me shit about finding a good woman in my life. Too bad she never found a good man.

"What are you thinking about?" Lyndsay tilted her head to the side as she sat up at the breakfast bar, her little chin propped up in her hands. "You look worried."

"Nope. Just trying to wake up. I went to sleep with a princess next to me and woke up to a frog." I pinched the tip of her nose softly. "What happened?"

"A frog! Not me Daddy." She pulled back, shaking her head.
"No. You're right. You're much too pretty for that." I walked to the fridge. "What does my girl want for breakfast this morning?"

"Pancakes, and eggs and maybe some bacon. Oh! And some sausage. And that ham we like so much, Daddy. The really salty one."

I laughed and glanced over at her. "Cinnamon rolls it it."

She huffed and rolled her eyes . "Fine. I'm going to watch cartoons. Are we going to Mimi's again today?"

"Yeah, baby. You Know it's baseball season right now. I have to be there when they tell me to."

"I hate baseball season." She walked toward the living room with her shoulders rolled in. I needed to find a damn day off to spend with her. The cute little thing had no clue that I was her uncle instead of her father. She didn't need to know. That was the decision mom, dad and I made the day we buried my sister. It was better this way, and I was old enough and wealthy enough to take Lyndsay.

"Not that I could do it without you." I mumbled to the empty air around me. My mom and dad had been more than helpful, and between the three of us, Lyndsay was growing up to be a bright, happy, healthy little girl.

"Dad!" she yelled from the living room.

"Yeah?" I pressed the button on the stove and walked to the edge of the kitchen.

"When are you going to bring home someone that can do my hair right?"

I put my hand on my hip and gave her a funny look. "Are you saying I'm not a good beauty shop lady or something?"

She giggle-snorted, the sound of it warming my soul. "Dad. We need a girl around here."

"Well, we have one." I pointed to her. "You!"

Review: Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns, #1)Publication Date: 27th September 2016

Genres: Young Adult & Fantasy

Blurb:
In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomach ache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of beasts.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn't solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it's not just a game of win or lose...it's life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.

The last queen standing gets the crown.

Review:
Have to say this is a very unique YA novel I have read in a while, it comes with an all original idea and the delivery of the idea is very interesting. This story is bloody and eerie all wrapped in one which is targeted at the right audience. I couldn’t decide when I was reading it that it was disturbing or not, but I liked how the author provides you a dark and uncanny story that doesn’t leave anything out.

This story is about three sisters, three queens who were born at the same time, six years after they’re birth they are separated in order to be prepared for their sixteenth birthday when they have to kill one another in order for either one of them to be the queen and Sovereign.

This book is eerie intended for a YA read who likes dark, bloody, eerie and definitely not for the faint hearted of readers, if you think you can handle this I highly recommend that you give this book a read.
